About Tomasz Trzciński
Tomasz Trzciński holds a Chief Scientist position at Tooploox, a digital development studio. He has recently co-founded Remedio - a medical consultancy platform that aims at sharing medical knowledge to answer educational needs of young doctors and improve diagnostics accuracy with computer vision and machine learning.
Tomasz Trzciński is an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Computer Science at Warsaw University of Technology (Warsaw, Poland) since 2015. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Vision in the field of binary local feature descriptors and their application under the supervision of Prof. Pascal Fua and Dr. Vincent Lepetit at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Lausanne, Switzerland) in 2014. He received his M.Sc. degree in Research on Information and Communication Technologies from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain) and M.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy) in 2010. He worked with Google (Zürich, Switzerland) in 2013, Qualcomm Corporate R&D (San Diego, USA) in 2012 and Telefónica R&D (Barcelona, Spain) in 2010. He has also served as a VP R&D of PlayfulVision, a Swiss-based computer vision startup that provides video-based sport analytics.
